There is limited Staff Accommodation available on-the-mountain in most Ski Resorts. You are a very lucky staff member if 'on mountain' accommodation is provided by your employer.
The majority of staff in NSW Ski Resorts stay in Jindabyne, which is located approx. 30km off the mountain. There is little to no public transport available for staff, so if you have a reliable car, bring it! If you don't you can always car pool.
Firstly, check out the local Real Estates, then the local notice boards: put a sign up yourself to tell others you need a bed too.
If you're interested in gathering some friends together, my advice is....not too many!
Renting a house or unit is expensive. Find out first what you're up for, like the weekly rent amount ($120 - $170 per person) and bond (4-6 weeks rent in advance). A good idea is to pay your bond before coming to work for a season.
So...if your paying $150 per week for a bed, plus bond of - say $900, plus two weeks in advance, that's $1200 up front before you and your mates head, hits the pillow.
